Attilla Pasztor

Attila Pasztor - a graduate of Vienna Conservatory, where he studied cello and composition, and also a trained lawyer. He has won a number of international competitions, as well as receiving awards from Austrian Radio and Television and the Viennese Philharmonic, and also the OESTIG-Preis for his performances of contemporary music. He has been awarded grants by the Hugo Wolf Foundation, the Alban Berg Foundation, the Janáček Foundation and the Austrian Federal Ministry of Culture. He performs in leading concert halls with renowned orchestras, and also in famous European festivals. His musical achievements have been documented by two solo discs. As a composer himself, he devotes much attention to his collaboration with other composers, who have dedicated to him numerous solo works and concertos with orchestra. He has earned success as a composer, writing to commission for the Wiener Sezession and having his work Reflexionen performed by the celebrated Ensemble Contrechamps in Gent. He plays on an instrument by master Andrea Amati from 1573.
