Leonora Armellini began studying the piano at the age of four with Laura Palmieri, and she received a diploma when she was only twelve. In 2009 she received a diploma with highest grades and special praise from the Santa Cecilia Academy in Rome, under the tutelage of Sergio Perticaroli. She frequents the master classes of Lilya Zilberstein at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hamburg.

Since she was six years old she has won first prizes in many national and international competitions; they include the Venice Prize (2005) and the Camillo Togni International Competition in Gussago (Brescia), in the piano and orchestra division (2009). In 2010 she won the special Janina Nawrocka Prize for “exceptional musicality and beauty of sound” at the F. Chopin International Competition in Warsaw.

She has given over 250 concerts in Italy (Parco della Musica, Rome; Teatro Dal Verme, Milan; Milan Conservatory; Lingotto, Turin; Teatro La Fenice, Venice), Poland, England, Austria, the Czech Republic, France (Salle Cortot, Paris) and the United States (Carnegie Weill Recital Hall, New York. She has performed as soloist with many orchestras (Orchestra of Padua and the Veneto, Kronstadt Philharmonic, Orchestra of the Teatro Verdi in Trieste, Turin Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestra of the Teatro La Fenice, Kiev Chamber Orchestra, Ukraine National Orchestra etc.), with such conductors as Alexander Rabinovich-Barakowsky, Claudio Scimone, Zoltan Pesko, Anton Nanut and others, playing concertos by Mozart, Haydn, Mendelssohn, Schumann, Clara Schumann, Chopin and Gershwin.
