Lucia Cirillo

Lucia Cirillo (mezzo-soprano) was born in Crema (Italy). She studied classical guitar in Cremona and Milan, then he attended Accademia Chigiana in Siena and Musik Akademie der Stadt Basel. She received the special award at XX Concorso nazionale di musica vocale da camera Città di Conegliano.

She studied vocal with Conrad Richter, Dunja Vejzovic and John Janssen. Nowadays she studies with Luca Gorla in Milan.

Lucia Cirillo has performed all over the Europe, singing Beethoven's "Fantasie-Choral", the role of Baronessa di Champigna in "Il cappello di paglia di Firenze", Helene in "La belle Helene", Idamantes in "Idomeneo, Re di Creta", Isolier in "Le comte Ory". She has also singed in "Le nozze di Figaro" , "L'incoronazione di Poppea", "L'amour des trois oranges", "Il matrimonio segreto", "La Cenerentola", "La clemenza di Tito", "Bajazeta" and "Così fan tutte". In 2003 she won the 53. Giovani Cantanti Lirici d'Europa Competition.

She recorded Vivaldi's "Dixit Dominus" for Deutsche Grammophone.
