Paweł Cichoński

A graduate in church music from the organ class of Magdalena Czajka and the conducting class of Bogdan Gola at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music (UMFC) in Warsaw and in singing from the UMFC’s Instrumental-Pedagogic Faculty in Białystok, where he was taught by Cezary Szyfman and Aleksander Teliga. In 2012, he made his debut at the Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera as Flute in a student production of Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. In 2014, he worked with the Białystok Puppet Theatre on a marionette production of Johann Sebastian Bach’s Coffee Cantata. He has performed in concerts organised by the UMFC and other cultural institutions in Białystok. His repertoire includes numerous oratorio, cantata and operatic arias. He has worked with such early music ensembles as Il Tempo (led by Agata Sapiecha), Gradus ad Parnasum (Krzysztof Garstka) and Diletto (Anna Moniuszko). He has attended numerous masterclasses given by Olga Pasichnyk, Wolfgang Zerer, Martin Sander, Reiner Trost and Ryszard Karczykowski. Since 2016, he has been a member of the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic Chorus.
