Tatiana Goldfarb – 9th Prize winner, 3rd International Frederic Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw (1937). Tatiana Goldfarb studied piano at the Odessa Conservatoire with Professor Berta Reingbald, graduating in 1932. Between 1935 and 1938 she continued her studies with Abram Lufer at the Kiev Conservatoire.

She took 9th Prize at the 3rd Chopin Competition. From 1939 to 1941, Goldfarb perfected her skills at the Moscow Conservatoire with Henry Neuhaus. During this period she appeared as a soloist throughout Soviet Russia. She was particularly fond of Chopin, though she also played Classical and contemporary music. She promoted the works of Ukrainian composers, Revutsky and Kosenko among others.

Reviewers underlined that Goldfarb had "a great musical talent", "brilliant technique", "dynamic panache", "a healthy forte achieved with no apparent physical tension", etc. For three years (1932–35) she was a soloist at the Odessa Philharmonic, and at the Philharmonic in Kiev for the following three years.

From 1958 to her death in 1964, she taught at the Conservatoire in Tbilisi.
