Kaja Danczowska - Polish violinist. She began her music education when she was seven. When she was eight, she started working with Eugenia Umińska and then entered her class in State High Music School in Cracow. Since 1972 she had been attending the mastercourses with Dawid Ojstrach at Conservatory in Moscow. Two years later she finished the mastercourse with Ruggiero Ricci.

She was awarded the III prize at Wieniawski Violin Competition in Poznań (Poland, 1967), the II prize at Alberto Curci Violin Competition in Naples (1969), the II prize at Geneva Competition (1970), the III prize at International Radio Competition in Munich (1975), the silver medal at Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussel (1976). Since he was ten, she has been performing as a solist all over the world. She has appeared on the stage with Christian Zimerman (with whom she recorded Szymanowski's "Myths"), as well as with Heinz Holliger, Gidon Kremer, Jan Krenz, Misha Maisky, Jerzy Maksymiuk, Iwan Monighetti, Krzysztof Penderecki, Jurij Simonow, Stanisław Skrowaczewski, Tadeusz Strugałą, Witold Rowicki and Antoni Wit.

The violinist released a lot of CDs and over the 400 radio recordings , mostly for Polis Radio and RIAS. She sits on the jury of Polish and international competitions in Poznań, Tokyo, Munich, New York Odense. In 1972 she took the position of director of the violin department at the Academyof Music in Cracowa. Since 1997 she has held a professor degree.
