Ingrid Fliter

Ingrid Fliter – 2nd Prize winner, 14th International Frederic Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw (2000). Ingrid Fliter started her piano studies in her hometown, Buenos Aires. She then studied the Conservatorio Nacional de Música in Buenos Aires (1989–1992). In 1992–1993 she lived in Freiburg, studying at the Musikhochschule with Professor Vitali Margulis, then moved to Rome in 1994 to work with Professor Carlo Bruno. Over the following few years (1996–2000) she continued her studies at the Incontri col Maestro International Piano Academy in Imola, where her teachers were Franco Scala and Boris Pietrushansky. Additionally, she took masterclasses with Andrzej Jasiński, Rosalyn Tureck, Alexander Lonquich and Louis Lortie.
Ms. Fliter was awarded 1st Prize at the International Piano Competition in Cantú in Italy (Italy, 1994), 4th Prize at the Busoni Competition in Bolzano (1998) and 2nd Prize at the Chopin Competition in Warsaw (2000).
Ms. Fliter has been active as a concert pianist since her adolescence in Buenos Aires. From 1997 onwards, she has been developing her international stage career. She has toured in Europe and Japan and played with the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra and conductor Philippe Entremont on their US tour, making her New York debut. As a soloist she appeared in Warsaw, Budapest, Milan, Amsterdam, Tokio, Frankfurt, Salzburg, and other venues.
