Charlotte de Rothschild

Since 1841 she studied with Chopin, who frequently visited the salon of Rothschild family in Paris. In 1843 Charlotte married her cusine Nathaniel and it was probably this occasion that she reveived from Chopin a very special gift: the composer dedicated her the Ballade in F minor, Op. 52. In 1846/47 Chopin dedicated her also the Waltz, Op. 64 No. 2, referring to her as: Madame la Baronne Nathaniel de Rothschild.
