Ka Ling Colleen Lee

Ka Ling Colleen Lee - prize-winner of the Fifteenth International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw (2005). She learned piano from 1987, under the guidance of Eleanor Wong at the Arts Academy in Hong Kong, where she received a diploma with distinction (2003). She then took up studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hanover under Arie Vardi. She has won many prizes in international piano competitions, including First Prize in the Junior Gina Bachauer International Piano Competition in Salt Lake City (1993), Second Prize in the Gina Bachauer Young Artists International Piano Competition (1999) and First Prize in a competition organised by the Music Academy in Hamamatsu (2002).
She has performed in festivals in France and Austria. As a grant-holder of the Chopin Society in Hong Kong, she has given concerts in the UK, Poland and elsewhere. She has played with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales and other leading orchestras, and also at the Carnegie Hall in New York. She has recorded for radio and television in Hong Kong. In 2004 she performed in the International Chopin Festival in Duszniki Zdrój.
