Conductor and violinist, began international career, when he was twelve, performing with the RAI Symphonic Orchestra. When he was sixteen, he performed Bach's violin concertos at the Musikverein in Vienna. Since then the violinist has performed with Cappella Real, Musica Antiqua Wien, Seminario Musicale, La Chapelle Royale and Les Musiciens du Louvre, all specialised in the performance of Baroque music using historical instruments.

In 1990 Fabio Biondi founded Europa Galante - the most internationally renowned and awarded Italian ensemble of Baroque music. They have played in La Scala, Accademia di Santa Cecilia, Suntory Hall, Concertgebouw, Royal Albert Hall, Musikverein, Lincoln Center and Sydney Opera House. They received numerous prizes, including Diapasons d'Or, Diapason d'Or de l'Année in France, RTL, Prix du Disque. In 2006 their recording of Vivaldi's "Bajazeta" was nominated to Grammy award. Since 2005 Biondi is the artistic director  of the Stavanger Simphony Orchestra.

Fabio Biondi plays a 1690 Gofredo Cappa Violin and also a 1766 Carlo Ferdinando Gagliano Violin, owned by his teacher Maestro Salvatore Cicero and kindly lent to him by the Salvatore Cicero Foundation in Palermo.
