JULIAN PAPROCKI is currently studying clarinet (with Florent Héau), bass clarinet (Jean-Marc Volta) and chamber music (Philippe Ferro) at the Pôle Supérieur d'enseignement artistique in Paris and is also a student on the musicology department of the Sorbonne. He has honed his skills in clarinet with such masters as Michel Arrignon, Nicolas Baldeyrou, Jan Jakub Bokun, Julien Chabod, Karel Dohnal, Giora Feidman, Igor Františák, Sylvie Hue, Paul Meyer, Jorge Montilla, Wojciech Mrozek, Mirosław Pokrzywiński, Ronald Sebesta and Mieczysław Stachura. As a soloist, he has performed with a number of orchestras: the symphony orchestra of the Holy Cross Philharmonic, the ‘Wirtuozi Lwowa' chamber orchestra of Lviv Philharmonic, Concerto Avenna and the Zenon Brzewski String Orchestra of Warsaw. He has performed at the Warsaw, Łódź, Rzeszów and Lower Silesia philharmonics, the Teatr Wielki - Polish National Opera and Royal Castle in Warsaw, and also abroad: in Austria, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Slovakia, Ukraine, Hungary and Italy. His musical achievements have been rewarded many times. He is a prize-winner of national and international competitions in clarinet, organ, composition and chamber music and a former grant holder of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage (2012), the National Children's Fund (2008-2012) and the Adam Mickiewicz Institute (2010, ‘Polish Culture Abroad'). Together with the pianist Maciej Grzybowski, cellist Karol Marianowski and trombonist Tomasz Światczyński, he is a member of the Triartet ensemble, specialising in the performance of contemporary music. He works with the leading Paris music publisher Gerard Billaudot Editeur.
