Marco Ciaponi

Born in 1989, in Barga, Italy. He studied in Modena and is now honing his skills with Cinzia Forte. He is a laureate of many vocal competitions, winning first prizes in the Flaviano Labò International Competition in Piacenza and the ‘Voci Verdiane' Festival in Busetto (2015), among others. He has participated in the Teatro Goldoni's operatic studio in Livorno. His roles have included Rodolfo in La bohème in Portoferraio, Tamino in The Magic Flute at the ‘Sestola InCanto' festival and the theatre in Modena, Nemorino in L'elisir d'amore at theatres in Lucca, Piacenza, Ravenna, Mantua and Tbilisi, Alfredo Germont in La traviata in Cremona, Bologna and Milan, Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni in Tirana and Trieste, Malcolm in Macbeth in Piacenza and Fenton in Falstaff in Cagliari, and he recently made his debut at La Scala in Milan as Trim in La fanciulla del West. His repertoire also includes such parts as the Duke of Mantua in Rigoletto, Almaviva in Il barbiere di Siviglia and Rinuccio in Gianni Schicchi. He also performs regularly on concert platforms in Italy and elsewhere in Europe, in such works as Haydn's The Creation (cond. Gianluigi Gelmetti), Beethoven's Ninth Symphony (cond. Gérard Korsten and Donato Renzetti) and Rossini's Stabat mater (cond. Paolo Olmi).
