Polish pianist and pedagogue. He studied at the High School of Music in Poznań with Irena Kurpisz-Stefanowa and at the High school of Music in Warsaw with Stanisław Szpinalski and Maria Wiłkomirska. In 1960, he was awarded 2nd distinction in the International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw and the special prize founded by Witold Małcużyński. Between 1960 and 1961 he continued his piano studies with Arturo Benedetti-Michelangeli during the master classes in Arezzo. From 1978, he was the professor of music at the High School of Music in Bydgoszcz.
He has given concerts all over Europe, i.a. in Czech Republic, Germany, Austria, Italy, Sweden, Norwey and also in Poland - as a soloist and chamber musician.
In his repertoire he had i.a. the complete piano works by Ravel and Szymanowski and also Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt, Brahms, Debussy, Prokofiev, Bartók and Messiaen. He recorded complete piano works by Karol Szymanowski.
In 1998 he received the special prize of the Karol Szymanowski Foundation.
