Grzegorz Nagórski - the Polish jazz trombonist. He started his music education at the National State Music School in Gdańsk with Magda Zawadzka (1979-1983). In 1987 he finished his studies at the Jazz and Popular Music Department of Katowice's Music Academy with Lothar Dziwoka.

After graduation he became a stipendist of the two music academies  in USA.

In 1990-1991 he studied at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton with J. Hachkrofta.

In 1993 he finished the University of Miami - Studio Music and Jazz Department with a Master's degree.

In 1992-1994 Nagórski worked as a lecturer at the University of Miami Jazz Department in Florida and in 1994-1995 he taught at the Florida Atlantic University.

Since 1999 he has been working as a jazz teacher at Frederic Chopin Music School in Warsaw at Bednarska Street. He also works as a senior lecturer at the Jazz Department of Music Academy in Wrocław (when he defended his doctoral thesis in 2005). He also works as a lecturer at the Music Academy in Katowice.

Grzegorz Nagórski has collaborated with numerous of Polish and foreign musicians, such as Jan "Ptaszyn" Wróblewski, Heryk Miśkiewicz, Zbigniew Namysłowski, Piotr Wojtasik, Joe Henderson, Michael Brecker, Tito Puente, Ray Charles, Phil Woods, Slide Hampton, Red Rodney, Maria Schneider, Donna Summer, Bob Brookmeyer, Ira Sullivan, Charlie Persip and the Jazz Big Band Graz.

He has performed at the Jazz Jambore, Molde Jazz Festival in Norwegian, Jazz and Blues Festival in Sweden, the Nokia Jazz Festival in Poznań, the Hollywood Jazz Festival, the Leibnitz Jazz Festival in Austria, the Torino Jazz Festival, the Sunfest Jazz Festival in USA, the Salzburger Jazz Herbst in Austria.

He was chosen the Best Polish Trombonist by the „Jazz Forum" Magazine.
