Łukasz Mikołajczyk

Born on 22 June 1993. He began learning piano at the age of five. He is a student of Zbigniew Raubo at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice. He improved his talent with Dang Thai Son, Kevin Kenner and Andrzej Jasiński. He received the First Prize and the Special Award for the best performance of a piece by Johann Sebastian Bach at the 10th Ludwik Stefański and Halina Czerny-Stefańska Piano Competition in Płock. He won the Second Price at the 16th Polish Piano Competition in Konin and he was awarded the Third Prize at the International Podkarpacki Chopin Competition in Rzeszów. He achieved the Third Place in the Fryderyk Chopin Polish Piano Competition in Warsaw. He is also a winner of the National Piano Festival in Konin-Żychlin and he received the Fifth Price at the 10th International Piano Competition "Arthur Rubinstein in memoriam" in Bydgoszcz. He also achieved the Third Place in the National Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw. He played concerts in polish and foreign cities (including Warsaw, Paris, Cologne). Furthermore he performed as a solist with many great polish orchestras (National Polish Radio Symphonic Orchestra, National Philharmony Orchestra). He received many scholarships for his artistic achievements, including from the Piotr Kler Foundation and from Krystian Zimerman.
