Zuzanna Pietrzak

The pianist was born on August 21, 1997. She started playing the piano at the age of 7 at the Primary and Secondary School of Music named  H. Wieniawski in Łódź in the class of Renata Płażewska-Kryachok. In October 2016 she began her studies at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw in class of Edward Wolanin, and now since 2017 she is under direction of Alica Paleta-Bugaj. She is studying the piano chamber music in the class of Robert Morawski. Zuzanna Pietrzak is a laureate of many awards in Poland and abroad, the most important are 1st Prize at IV Concorso Internazionale ‘Piano Talents' in Milan (2014), Award for the youngest participant and individual award of Veronika Vitaitė in the 1st International Piano Competition ‘Performance without limits' in Łódź (2013), Grand Prix in XIV Tarptautinis Konkursas ‘Muzika be sienu' Druskinikai in Lithuania (2014). She got 1st Prize and the Special Prize ‘Outstanding Performance' from the Chairman of Jury at International Music Competition ‘Grand Prize Virtuoso Paris Debut' in Paris (2015). She has performed in many halls in Poland and abroad. She performed in the Fryderyk Chopin Birthplace in Żelazowa Wola, the Sinfonia Varsovia Orchestra, in Duszniki-Zdrój during the 70th International Chopin Festival, the Warsaw National Philharmonic, in the Fryderyk Chopin Museum, the Church of the Holy Cross in Warsaw , and played during IV Rubinstein Piano Festival in Łódź. In addition to this, she performed recitals in the Polish pavilion at EXPO 2015 in Milan, Italy. Recent events include winning the scholarship of the Yamaha Foundation (February 2017) and performances at 2 concerts during the 25th Kyoto International Music Festival 2017 in Japan in May. Zuzanna is a grantee of the National Foundation for Children and Youth,  the Minister of Culture and National Heritage and the Marshal of the Łódź Voivodeship. She also received a diploma from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage ‘Młoda Polska' in 2017. In June 2015 she received the honorary title of ‘Student Talent' from the Center of Teacher Training and Practical Training.
