Shunshun Tie

Pianist Shunshun Tie was born in 2000 in Jinzhou (Liaoning province, China).  He was a Gold Medal winner at the 1st Beijing International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition for Young Pianists (Junior Group) in Beijing. Tie began piano lessons at age 3, and has won numerous awards in China. He started his professional training in piano performance at age 8. In 2011, he enrolled at the Elementary School attached to the Central Conservatory of Music, and was taught by Professor Jin Zhang, Yuan Ling and Xinning Zhang. Since 2013, he has been studying with pianist Hongbo Quan. The artist has given concerts as a volunteer for public service activities, and has performed at the Scarlatti Baroque Music Festival of the Italian Embassy, at the closing concert of the Xing Hai Piano Competition, at a Central Conservatory of Music concert for honors students, and at a concert of the Polish Embassy.
