Edwin Szwajkowski

The pianist was born in 1994 in Vilnius. Since 2014, he has been studying with Alicja Paleta-Bugaj and Konrad Skolarski at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. In 2015-2016, he worked with Dina Yoffe at Talent Music Masters in Italy. Szwajkowski is a laureate of many national and international competitions in, among other places, Vilnius, Estonia and St. Petersburg. He has taken part in numerous master classes, where he has honed his skills under such distinguished professors as Andrzej Jasiński, Ewa Pobłocka, Katarzyna Popowa-Zydroń, Michael Lewin, Boris Petrushansky, Leonid Margarius, Ramzi Yassa, Georg Friedrich Schenk, Mikhail Voskresensky, Tamás Ungár and Janusz Olejniczak. The artist carries on an active concert career in Poland and abroad. As a soloist, he has concertized with the Tallinn, Narva, Kielce, Łomża, St. Petersburg and Moscow Philharmonic Orchestras. He has performed at many prestigious halls, such as the Warsaw, Kielce, Tallinn, Vilnius and St. Petersburg Philharmonic Halls, Royal Castle in Warsaw, Evgeni Svetlanov Hall in Moscow, Fazioli Concert Hall in Italy and Museo Diocesano in Brescia, as well as at concert halls in Sweden and China. The pianist has performed at one of the ‘Young Talents' series concerts organized by The Fryderyk Chopin Institute. He has also taken part in the Vivace Vilnus International Summer Music Festival, as well as the 69th and 70th Fryderyk Chopin International Piano Festival in Duszniki-Zdrój. He has recorded for Lithuania's LRT radio. In 2013, Edwin Szwajkowski was honored by the President of Lithuania for his artistic successes and concert career. He has also been a scholarship recipient of the Polish Children's Fund.
