Jakub Kuszlik

The Pianist was born in 1996. He graduated Władysław Żeleński Music School in Cracow in Olga Łazarska class and currently is a student of Ekaterina Popowa-Zydroń at Feliks Nowowiejski Music Academy in Bydgoszcz. He also worked with Arie Vardi, Kevin Kenner, Bernd Goetzke, Bruno Canino. His biggest achievement is 2nd prize on International Paderewski Piano Competition in Bydgoszcz (he also won several special prizes, e.g. Chopin prize, Paderewski major work prize and others). He also won several prizes on other international and national competitions, e.g. 10th Competition "Artur Rubinstein in memoriam" in Bydgoszcz (II prize), 13th Ludwik Stefanski and Halina Czerny-Stefańska Competition in Płock (Grand Prix), National Auditions of Piano Students (I prize), 6th Moritz Moszkowski Competition in Kielce (I prize). In 2015 he received the title of winner of the Young Performers' Stage as well as a special prize for the best performance of Karol Szymanowski piece at the 49th Polish Piano Players Festival in Slupsk. Jakub Kuszlik performed in Poland and abroad, e.g. in Germany, Italy, Japan, Norway, Iceland. Jakub received a scholarship from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage; he also recived a scholarship of Czartoryski's Foundation.
