The most important ballet event of the Chopin Anniversary Year, emotional romantic journey from Poland to Europe of Chopin’s times – inspired by Waldemar Dąbrowski, National Theater director, a ballet referring to the life of Chopin was created.
The scenario was written by a great Polish author Antoni Libera, and the conception of the music was created by Stanisław Leszczyński, artistic director of the festival “Chopin and his Europe”. The ballet was written to the music of Chopin and the composers who were under a deep influence of his art: Hector Berlioz, Siergiej Lapunow, Ferenc Liszta and Robert Schumann. The author of the stage design is a famous French ballet master Patrice Bart from the Paris Opera.
The ballet will be performed by most highly valued soloists and the group of the Polish National Ballet. The full cast can be seen here.
The premiere will take place tomorrow in the National Theater in Warsaw.
