About 150 people participated in the celebration of unveiling of the Chopin’s monument in Vienna. The monument was founded by Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.

The monument entitled “La note blue”, designer by a Polish sculptor Krzysztof Bednarski, is situated in the Schweizergarten park. It is a flat sculpture of Chopin’s head with rectangular holes shaped like piano keys. One of the keys serves as a gate for a big bird flying towards the sky.

The design of the monument was chosen in the special competition announced by the Chopin Institute.
