Brandus & Co.

A Parisian publishing house. The company came into being in result of Gemmy Brandus' purchasing of Maurice Schesinger's business in 1846. Schlesinger's company was not the only publishing house acquried by Brandus. In 1850 he also took over Troupenas et. Cie. He published Chopin's first editions of opuses 59 - 65 and many reissues of earlier compositions. He also continued publishing "Revue et Gazette Musicale de Paris".
