Pietro Mechetti

Pietro Mechetti

A Viennese publishing house. Primarily Pietro Mechetti was a partner in the family publishing business Carlo Mechetti e Nipote. In 1811, after his uncle Carl's death, he took over the company and changed its name to Pietro Mechetti qdm Carlo. After Pietro's death the publishing house was run by his wife, and later the copyrights for published compositions were passed to Diabelli's publishing house with which Mechetti's company successfully competed on the Viennese publishing market.

Mechetti published the works of Beethoven, Schubert, Schumann, Chopin, Mendelssohn, Moscheles, Spohr.
