The Ukrainian-born Australian pianist Alexander Gavryluk gave his first concert at the age of nine.

He was awarded First Prize and the gold medal in the 3rd Horowitz International Piano Competition (1999), the 4th Hamamatsu International Piano Competition (2000) and the Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Competition (2005). His concert at the Miami Piano Discoveries Festival in 2005 was recorded by VAI International. Gavryluk regularly performs in Japan, at the Suntory Hall and Tokyo Opera City Hall.

In 2003, he became an official Steinway artist. He has appeared in concert halls all over the world, working the philharmonic orchestras of Moscow, Israel, Rotterdam, Seoul and Warsaw, as well as the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, Osaka Philharmonic, Netherlands Philharmonic, Orchestra della Svizzerra Italiana, Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Russian National Orchestra and OFUNAM.

He has worked with conductors such as Vladimir Ashkenazy, Herbert Blomstedt, Oleg Caetani, Dan Ettinger, Vladimir Fedoseyev, Igor Gruppman, Alexander Lazarev, Sebastian Lang-Lessing, Mikhail Pletnev, Daniel Raiskin, Stefan Sanderling, Leif Segerstam, Yuri Simonov, Hubert Soudant, Vladimir Spivakov, Yoav Talmi and Bramwell Tovey.
