César Auguste Jean Guillaume Hubert Franck - Belgian-born French composer. In 1835-36 he studied privately counterpoint with Anton Reicha and piano with Pierre Zimmerman. Then he studied in the Paris Conservatory, but his father removed him prematurely from the conservatory. After removing, Franck worked as an organist, choirmaster and pedagogue. His compositions made an impression on Franz Liszt. Franck became famous for his symphonic, chamber and organ music.
