A baritone, one the most outstanding Polish singers. A graduate of Wrocław Music Academy, he is a prize-winner of national and international vocal competitions. He spent 2001/2002 in Vienna on a scholarship as a student of Leopold Spitzer. In 2002, he made his debut at the Polish National Opera in Warsaw as Pelléas in Claude Debussy’s opera Pelléas et Mélisande. He has performed in many opera houses and prestigious festivals in Poland and abroad. In 2012, he sang in the world premiere of Krzysztof Penderecki’s song ‘Powiało na mnie morze snów’ [A sea of dreams did breathe on me] at the Warsaw Philharmonic. He has performed under the baton of Valery Gergiev (White Nights Festival in St Petersburg) and Penderecki (Beijing Music Festival). In 2014, he received the Jan Kiepura Music Theatre Award in the ‘best singer’ category. His repertoire includes many operatic leads, and he also performs lyric songs by Schubert and Brahms, as well as German and British Baroque music.
