Kazimierz Wodziński

Kazimierz Wodziński - brother of Maria Wodzińska, pupil of the Warsaw Liceum and one of inhabitant of the house of Mikołaj Chopin. We know an extant letter written by Kazimierz to Chopin from Drezno on 15th of September 1836.

The Wodziński Family - parents: Wincenty Szymon (*1784 †1849) and Teresa (*ok. 1790)), children: dauther Maria Anna Józefa (*7 I 1819 Warszawa, †7 XII 1896 Kłóbka near Włocławek) and sons Antoni (*1812 †1844), Feliks (*1815 †1870) and Kazimierz (*1816 †1875).

In 1830 Karzimierz's brothers, Antoni and Feliks took part in the November Uprising. Next year the family had to take refuge in a manor in Sułkowo and afterwards they went to Berlin and finally settled down in Geneve, where they lived between 1832 and 1835. Chopin stayed in close contact with Antoni Wodziński, who lived in Paris since 1835.
