Composer, writer, music critic. He took music lessons with o. Bernardino Rizzi - Italian composer, organist and choir conductor. In 1928, advised by Karol Szymanowski, he continued his music education in École Normale de Musiquein Paris with Paul Dukas and Nadia Boulanger.

In 1936 he came back to Poland and focused on composing and became a music critic and writer. 

As a Polish soldier, during the second world war, he was imprisoned. He came back to Poland after the war. 

He cooperated with many Polish journals, i.z. Ruch Muzyczny, Res Facta, Rocznik Chopinowski, Chopin Studies, Przegląd Kulturalny.

Member of the Polish Composers' Union, laureate of many prizes and orders.
